Job summary

NFCC is seeking a highly analytical Finance Business Partner Analyst to support effective financial management across the organisation. The role focuses on monthly forecasting, financial analysis, and maintaining reporting data using advanced Excel and Power Query.

You will work with budget holders across NFCC, provide robust challenge where needed, and help managers make informed financial decisions. Fully remote with occasional UK travel, reporting to the Finance Reporting & Controls Manager.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified, or able to demonstrate substantial equivalent experience in management accounting, financial reporting, forecasting or financial analysis.
• Practical experience working with budget holders or non-financial stakeholders to support budget monitoring, forecasting or financial decision-making.
• Experience reviewing financial information, questioning assumptions and providing constructive challenge in a clear and professional manner.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation, data cleansing, and Power Query development.
• Experience consolidating information from multiple sources and maintaining complex reporting workbooks or financial data models.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with reconciliations and data quality issue resolution.
• Experience in grant monitoring, charity/public sector finance or grant-funded organisations is desirable.
• Experience in remote working, deadlines and proactive communication is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support budget holders through monthly forecasting and budget monitoring cycles.
• Review forecast submissions for robustness and accuracy.
• Consolidate, validate and maintain monthly forecasts and reporting data.
• Produce analysis on budget variances, forecast movements and risks.
• Manage grant monitoring information and supporting datasets.
• Perform reconciliations, data validation and quality assurance checks.
• Develop and improve reporting processes using advanced Excel and Power Query.
• Explain complex financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues.
• Support continuous improvement of forecasting, grant monitoring and reporting controls.
