Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Associate Manager for the Internal Audit team focused on Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC). The role is based in the United Kingdom (Remote) with quarterly in-person surges.

You will lead FCC audits end-to-end, from planning to reporting, mentor junior staff, and gradually assume audit leadership responsibilities. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in audit, financial crimes, or risk management, with familiarity across US/EU/APAC AML and data analysis.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in audit, financial crimes compliance, compliance testing, or risk management.
• Working knowledge of US, EU, and APAC AML, sanctions, and terrorist financing regulations.
• Familiarity with data analysis techniques for testing large datasets.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead audit engagements and oversee team members.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead FCC audits from planning through reporting, with cross-border regulatory awareness.
• Own audit scoping, stakeholder management, fieldwork, data analysis, and remediation validation.
• Drive process mapping and control design assessments to identify gaps and improvements.
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand processes, controls, and risk areas.
• Create clear, well-supported audit reports and executive summaries for leadership.
• Mentor junior staff on audit fieldwork, quality, and compliance standards.
• Drive innovation in audit execution and internal infrastructure.
