Placements24 is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our fully remote team in the United Kingdom. You will deliver expert environmental assessments for energy projects, including renewables and traditional power infrastructure, balancing energy needs with environmental protection.

The role requires a master's degree, 6+ years of consultancy experience in the energy sector, and strong skills in modeling, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as an environmental consultant, with significant exposure to the energy sector.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and permitting processes.
• Proficiency in environmental modeling and assessment techniques.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and associated studies for energy projects.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans and mitigation strategies.
• Advise clients on environmental compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
• Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and environmental documentation.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Conduct site assessments and monitor environmental performance during project implementation.
