Job summary

Envo Talent represents an established UK engineering and energy infrastructure business seeking an Environment & Sustainability Manager for a 9-12 month maternity cover. The role anchors environmental compliance and advances sustainability across projects nationwide, with site-based and strategic responsibilities; home-based with regular site visits and weekly office attendance as required.

You will work with senior management to embed best practices, lead audits, training and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental, Sustainability, Environmental Management or Environmental Compliance roles.
• Experience conducting internal and external environmental audits, including on-site reviews.
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001 and environmental management systems.
• Experience working in construction, engineering, infrastructure, utilities or similar operational environment advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, policies and guidance.
• Progress the Sustainability Strategy and its implementation across the business.
• Lead environmental and sustainability training, toolbox talks and briefings.
• Conduct subcontractor environmental audits and review new applications.
• Manage ISO 14001 accreditation and external audits.
