Job summary

RLS Legal Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor for an interim locum assignment with a leading regional South West law firm. The role offers flexible working patterns (remote, hybrid or on-site) and a workload spanning drafting contracts, policies, staff handbooks, and HR/employment law advice.

You should have 6+ years in Employment Law, plus corporate employment experience. Starting end December 2026/early January 2027 for 1–3 months, with 21+ hours per week minimum.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Employment Law experience.
• Experience providing corporate employment support.
• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with good client care.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and staff handbooks.
• Advising on disciplinary and grievance procedures, dismissals, discrimination and redundancy.
• Handling TUPE, business transfers, absence and performance management, and settlement agreements.
• Managing Employment Tribunal claims and providing practical HR and employment law advice to clients.
• Providing corporate employment support on transactions alongside other firm teams.
