Job summary

SkyBound, based in London Waterloo, seeks a Remote Safety Pilot/Coordinator to support safe, compliant flight operations across its automated drone systems. You’ll assist flight testing, mission planning, risk mitigation, and operational coordination in dynamic real-world environments.

The role requires a GVC qualification, hands-on drone experience, and strong aviation safety knowledge, with travel as needed. A design-led tech culture offers real impact and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• GVC (General Visual Line of Sight) is essential.
• Experience operating drones in real-world environments.
• Strong understanding of aviation safety and risk management.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Confident communication with clients and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct practical flight testing of the Automated Drone Station (ADS).
• Lead risk mitigation activities and create risk assessments.
• Plan and coordinate flights using established systems and procedures.
• Manage missions using SkyBound's proprietary software.
• Liaise with clients to ensure smooth operational delivery.
• Produce accurate electronic reports and maintain records.
• Capture data and ensure proper logging and storage.
• Uphold safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
