Job summary

3D Technical Design Ltd is seeking a self-motivated District Heating Project/Technical Manager to lead design and delivery in DHN projects. The role focuses on developing and implementing the company’s Quality Management System and guiding the design team’s growth aligned with QMS standards.

You will contribute to market-leading designs, mentor upcoming managers, and work from home with structured training and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Advanced 2D CAD skills and 3D CAD knowledge are preferred.
• Must have strong planning and organisational abilities.
• Experience in district heating or utility industries is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) is desirable.
• Experience in the UK construction sector (3–5 years) is valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Manage the design team's development and performance against the QMS.
• Plan and deliver market-leading DHN designs and reports for clients.
• Mentor middle management and develop client-facing consultancy skills.
• Coordinate design deliverables drawing on site delivery experience.
