Job summary

LaraBench is seeking a DevOps Laravel Engineer to build and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for Laravel-based applications. You will own IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and the deployment lifecycle, coordinating with developers and operations across the UK and Europe.

You will ensure high availability, performance, and security while driving automation and best-practice infrastructure across AWS services, containers, and databases.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role supporting PHP/Laravel applications in production.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong Linux administration skills and cloud experience (AWS or Azure).
• Practical knowledge of containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching (Redis).
• Security-conscious mindset with best-practice secrets management.
• Clear communicator with developers and stakeholders.
• Commercial background configuring production AWS environments (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC).
• Understanding of Laravel internals from an infrastructure perspective.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure hosting Laravel apps using IaC.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Laravel apps and automation.
• Monitor, secure and back up environments; participate in incident response.
• Collaborate with devs to embed DevOps thinking and document processes.
• Conduct cost-optimisation reviews and share architectural recommendations.
