Job summary

Active Care Group in the UK is seeking a Data Engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines and integrations that underpin reporting and operations across the business. You will move data from diverse sources into our Snowflake data warehouse and feed applications that rely on it.

This hands-on role offers autonomy and mentorship with opportunities to grow toward senior level. You’ll work on APIs, backend systems, and data extraction, designing integrations from source to production.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience designing and maintaining production data pipelines against a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake.
• Strong SQL including ability to provide support for BI developers.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering, including API integration and orchestration.
• Experience integrating data from a variety of sources including REST APIs, relational databases and file feeds.
• Ability to work independently and own deliverables in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and monitor data pipelines that ingest data into Snowflake using batch and API methods.
• Design and deliver new integrations end to end, including source investigation, coding, testing and scheduling.
• Investigate pipeline failures and data ingestion issues and identify root causes.
• Maintain and improve existing ETL jobs, including load strategy, scheduling and cost management.
• Collaborate with BI developers and feed reporting and internal applications with accurate data.
• Contribute to broader engineering activities including cloud services and data security/compliance.
• Document pipelines and handover information for maintainability.
