Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY UK LIMITED is hiring a Cybersecurity Incident Response Analyst to join the Cyber Defense Center. You will support Security Monitoring services, assist in incident investigations, and work with Incident Managers during high-priority events across a 24/7 framework in a hybrid, England-based setup.

The role requires a degree in Cyber Security/IT/CS or equivalent experience, familiarity with SIEM tools, and strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security, IT, CS or related field.
• Experience in a cybersecurity-related role such as Security Operations, Threat Detection or IT Support.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and alerts, identify potential incidents and escalate as needed.
• Assist in initial investigations, perform triage and document findings.
• Collaborate with 24/7 Security Monitoring team to ensure timely detection and response.
• Support incident response processes by gathering information and aiding analysis.
• Contribute to development and improvement of incident response playbooks and workflows.
• Assist in post-incident reviews and documenting lessons learned.
• Ensure incident response activities align with regulatory requirements and policies.
