Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Civil Design Engineer for a contract role across UK water sector projects. Flexible UK-based working arrangements are available, with hybrid or remote options to suit project needs.

You will deliver civil design packages, ensure compliance with standards, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on major AMP8 programmes. The role offers exposure to large-scale water infrastructure and design & build projects, together with an established engineering team

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering detailed civil design packages in water sector projects is desirable.
• Experience in design and build environments with exposure to standards and practices.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering design packages across water sector projects.
• Produce and review design calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Develop detailed civil designs for non-infrastructure water projects.
• Collect, analyse and manage technical information.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and other stakeholders.
• Support delivery against programme, budget, quality and technical requirements.
• Review designs and technical deliverables to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Provide technical support and knowledge sharing across the wider engineering team.
