Job summary

Alignerr is seeking detail-oriented transcriptionists who are native Brazilian Portuguese speakers to help shape AI understanding of the language. This fully remote hourly contract role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work with real-world audio used to train AI systems.

You'll transcribe varied Brazilian Portuguese speech, handle crosstalk and background noise, and follow detailed guidelines to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker.
• Excellent listening and comprehension for noisy audio.
• Ability to follow detailed transcription style guides.
• Fast, accurate typing with good spelling and punctuation.
• Experience in transcription or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio in Brazilian Portuguese and produce detailed transcripts.
• Identify multiple speakers and assign correct speaker labels.
• Apply transcription conventions for non-verbal sounds and inaudible segments.
• Follow style guidelines with precision and consistency.
• Flag ambiguous segments with clear notes for review.
• Work independently and asynchronously.
• Maintain high accuracy on high-volume audio projects.
