Job summary

Client Server is seeking a Backend Developer / Software Engineer to join our real-time messaging platform. You will work on low-latency, distributed systems, Pub/Sub services, and next‑gen AI‑driven infrastructure, delivering production‑grade software with ownership of architecture and code quality.

The role supports Remote / Hybrid work with occasional in-person meetups in North London. You will engage in scalable, event-driven design and collaborate across engineering to push performance and

Qualifications

Backend development with Go/Node.js or other modern server-side language.
Experience building or operating distributed systems or messaging platforms.
Understanding of scalability, concurrency and fault-tolerant design.
Experience with Pub / Sub messaging systems.
Familiarity with streaming systems and cloud infrastructure advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design and build core messaging platform features for real-time infrastructure.
Improve performance, reliability and scalability of distributed systems.
Deliver production‑grade software and ensure code quality and maintainability.
Collaborate autonomously in a fast-paced engineering environment.
