Job summary

Interact Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join an Agile team in London with remote flexibility. The role involves designing test strategies, building automated testing frameworks, and ensuring quality across cloud-based systems.

Expect strong collaboration with Tech Leads and frequent reporting on progress and risks. The candidate will contribute to RESTful API testing, CI processes with Jenkins, and adherence to QA best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in automated RESTful API testing within Agile teams.
• Hands-on experience with CI tools such as Jenkins.
• Strong advocacy for quality engineering principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills across cross-functional teams.
• Solid programming knowledge with JavaScript, Java, RestAssured and Cucumber.
• Experience with Gatling and Scala.
• Experience with AWS services (e.g. Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch).

Responsibilities

• Design, communicate, and implement effective test strategies and approaches.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads to understand requirements and define test coverage.
• Develop and contribute to automated testing frameworks (functional and non-functional).
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and validate fixes.
• Produce clear, concise test reports demonstrating product quality.
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues to key stakeholders including Delivery Managers and Architects.
• Act as the primary QA representative within an Agile team, promoting a “whole team” approach to quality.
• Establish and drive QA best practices within the team.
