Job summary

Prolific Academic Ltd in Brighton, UK is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to join our Expert Network for AI training and evaluation, with remote options and paid tasks. If successful, you’ll train and evaluate powerful AI models and get paid rates up to $80 per hour.

You’ll work on evaluating architectures, auditing code, refining RLHF workflows, and analyzing model reasoning to improve AI systems. Flexible hours and remote work are offered.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or a related quantitative field with a focus on Machine Learning.
• Experience building, deploying, or fine-tuning ML models in a production environment.
• Deep Learning mastery with architectures like Transformers, CNNs, RNNs and optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Prompt Engineering, RLHF, or RAG workflows.
• Technical rigor to audit model logic, detect data contamination, and validate mathematical proofs behind ML algorithms.
• Analytical critique with high attention to detail for hallucinations, biased outputs, or logical failures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate LLM architecture logic for technical accuracy.
• Audit ML code and notebooks for efficiency and correctness.
• Refine RLHF frameworks with high-quality human feedback.
• Analyze model reasoning and identify where chain-of-thought breaks down.
• Benchmark performance across model outputs using defined metrics.
