Job summary

Worktechlabs is seeking a remote, full-time engineer to turn document extraction and internal knowledge search into dependable features for client systems. You will work with Azure OpenAI, real evaluation cases and human review, from prototype to production.

You will build ingestion, extraction and retrieval pipelines, create evaluation datasets and ensure outputs are validated and compliant with business rules. Strong coding, testing and data handling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience building software that uses language models.
• Knowledge of retrieval, structured outputs and evaluation.
• Proficiency in C# or Python; familiar with APIs and testing.
• Ability to handle confidential information and distinguish plausible vs verified outputs.

Responsibilities

• Define a narrow use case with input, output, failure cases and verification.
• Build document ingestion, extraction and retrieval pipelines using Azure OpenAI and data services.
• Create evaluation datasets and compare changes against a baseline.
• Integrate AI outputs with APIs and business rules with validation and human review.
• Monitor quality, latency and cost and document production monitoring.
