Job summary

A leading fire protection services provider in the UK is seeking a Remedials Project Manager to oversee service remedial works on fire protection systems projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in commercial sprinkler installations and a strong background in procurement and cost control. Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years experience of commercial sprinkler installations.
  • CSCS/CCNSG card required.
  • Strong procurement and cost control skills.
  • Background in commercial sprinkler contracts, wet riser systems and dry riser systems.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys for fire protection systems.
  • Procure labour, equipment, and fabrication.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and site managers.
  • Responsible for cost control of contracts/projects.
  • Ensure compliance with method statements and risk assessments.

Overview

Argus Fire launched in 1982 and is part of the Mitie Group. We are the UK’s class‑leading supplier of fire detection and fire protection systems. We design, install and maintain all types of automatically operating fire extinguishing systems and electronically activated fire detection and alarm systems for large projects and small standalone products. We currently have over 200 employees and are based in Stourbridge (HQ), Manchester and London.

Service Department – Remedials Project Manager

As part of the Service Department, you will manage a selection of service remedial works on fire protection systems projects based nationally.

Responsibilities
  • Site surveys
  • Procurement of labour, equipment and fabrication
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and site managers/supervisors
  • In partnership with your manager you will be responsible for cost control of contracts/projects
  • Maintain compliance of projects with issued and approved method statements and risk assessments
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years experience of commercial sprinkler installations
  • CSCS/CCNSG card
  • Strong procurement and cost control skills
  • Background in commercial sprinkler contracts, wet riser systems and dry riser systems
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and similar project management software
  • Understanding of sprinkler related standards BS EN12845, LPC Rules & BS9990
