Overview

Our client is a longstanding and established provider of Water Hygiene / Legionella services across Educational, Local Authority, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, and Leisure sites. They are seeking to recruit a Remedial Plumber to join their team in the West Midlands. You will be responsible for delivering high standard remedial plumbing services to our clients' longstanding site bases, ensuring compliance with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines. Due to the nature of the contracts, the candidate must be happy to travel within the role.

Consideration will be given to candidates from the following areas: Kidderminster, Stourbridge, Ludlow, Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Rugby, Daventry, Towcester, Brackley, Worcester, Warwick, Coventry, Royal Leamington Spa, Stratford Upon Avon, Banbury, Bicester, Witney, Abingdon, Oxford.

Experience & Qualifications

• Must hold an industry relevant qualification e.g., City and Guilds / NVQ L2 (or higher) in plumbing.
• Will have in-depth and up to date knowledge of ACoP L8 / HSG 247 guidelines.
• Experience working hands on for a Water Hygiene / Legionella company would be beneficial.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload in line with company and client needs.

The Role

• Carrying out deadleg removals.
• Installing pipework (PVC and Copper), altering accordingly and removing when required.
• Working on various sites, carrying out fault‑finding and ensuring that any faults are rectified efficiently.
• Checking plumbing work and signing off upon completion.
• CWST refurbishment and installs.
• Installing point of use water heaters.
• Removing flexible hoses and hard piping taps when required.
• Installing drain offs and lock shields.
• Undertaking thermostatic mixer valve installations, servicing, and replacements.
• Expansion valve installations.
• Carrying out servicing and installs on cylinders (if G3 certificate is held).
• Working in line with ACoP L8 / HSG 247 guidelines.
