VSA has an exciting opportunity to join our Older People's Services as a Support Worker based in Aberdeen.

Hours: Relief
Salary: £12.81 per hour

Purpose of the Job:

To contribute to the provision of quality services that meet the needs of service users, following VSA standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicating effectively with individuals according to standards and procedures, and maintaining records appropriately.
  • Helping to ensure a safe environment by complying with health, safety, and security procedures, including medication management, and reporting incidents when necessary.
  • Supporting service users in daily living, providing personal care when needed, and promoting wellbeing, choice, dignity, and respect.
  • Assisting service users in developing and maintaining social networks and relationships.
  • Encouraging and supporting service users to develop skills for independent living, considering risk assessments.
  • Participating in the development, implementation, and review of personal care plans with service users.
  • Supporting service users through significant life changes or losses.
  • Continuously developing knowledge and skills through training and development activities.
  • Performing any other reasonable tasks within your capabilities.
  • Working within internal control systems to improve service quality.
