Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for helping others? Mencap is looking for enthusiastic Relief Support Workers to join our amazing team in Derry/Londonderry, where your role will have a lasting impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities.

🌈 What You’ll Do:
  • Support people with learning disabilities in their daily lives and routines
  • Assist with personal care and medication, including bathing and dressing
  • Help with finances and everyday tasks like shopping and bill payments
  • Encourage independence and social inclusion by supporting community activities and groups
  • Use Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance quality of life
  • Build trusting, meaningful relationships based on empathy and respect
  • A genuine passion for supporting others
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings, weekends, and overnight
  • A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude
  • Willingness to register with NISCC and undergo an enhanced Access NI check
Shifts
  • Day Shifts: 7:00am – 11:00pm
  • Night Shifts: 9:00pm – 9:00am (Rota prepared 4+ weeks in advance to support your work/life balance)
