Ark Housing Association Ltd in Arbroath is seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. You will support individuals with a range of disabilities, both in their own homes and in the community, helping them gain independence and participate in activities.
You will work with colleagues to provide personal care, encourage development of daily living skills, and record progress on a tablet using Ark’s Information Management system.

Arbroath currently have two teams working over Arbroath, Brechin, Friockheim and Carnoustie. We support individuals with a range of disabilities aged between 20 to70. We support individuals within their own home and also individuals who stay with their family. Support required ranges from personal care, developing skills to live independently, social support out in the community and to attend college where they can further their knowledge. We support our supported people to work towards outcomes which can include going on holidays abroad and closer to home to experience life to its fullest. We have a space for supported people to meet and build relationships with each other doing a range of activities.
As a Relief Support Practitioner you will carry out all the same duties while on shift as our Support Practitioners. As you do not have contracted hours it gives you the flexibility to only pick up shifts when it suits you.
**Please note: Relief work is on an as and when basis to cover for sickness absence, study leave and other staff contingencies. We cannot guarantee you regular or continued use as the need for relief staffing changes from time to time.**Hear from our current Support Practitioner here .
