Job summary

Cornerstone (Aberdeen) in Dumbarton is seeking Relief Support Practitioners to join our relief pool. You will support our team in helping people with learning disabilities to live as independently as possible, with shifts arranged around your availability.

As a relief colleague, you’ll cover for annual leave, training and absence. You’ll be expected to join the PVG scheme and work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with training from our Academy.

Qualifications

• PVG scheme required and SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare planned.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with needs to live independently.
• Assist with daily activities: errands, home management, hobbies.
• Attend relief shifts as per availability.

Relief Support Practitioner

We're expanding our relief pool and are looking for reliable and caring individuals to support our team in Dumbarton.

The role

We support people with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, to live as independently as possible.

One day you might be supporting someone to get out for a coffee, go shopping or attend their favourite club. Another day could involve helping someone manage their home, enjoy their hobbies, meet friends or head out to watch their football team.

No two people are the same — and no two days are the same.

As a relief colleague, you'll play an incredibly important role within our teams. You'll step in to support our teams during periods of annual leave, training and absence. With our relief contracts, you're in control, tell us when you're available and we'll look to give you shifts that work around your life.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
