Job summary

Corps Security is a security provider in the UK recruiting an experienced SIA Licensed Security Officer to cover holiday and sickness across client premises around Severn Beach. You will be trained and deployed to multiple sites with a view to fixed shifts as opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle or reliable transport.
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensure all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of deliveries whilst on site, including processing of paperwork as per site procedures.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm systems for out of hours security provision if applicable.
• Complete documents such as daily occurrence log, shift handover and incident/accident records.

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and required to work at several of our client’s premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise. You will be working various hours covering Days, Nights and Weekends across Severn Beach and surrounding areas.

What you will need:

What are you going to do:

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
• To ensure that patrols are carried out and to the correct standards.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out of hours security provision if applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site-specific reports.
• Ensure you are familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
• Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal such that your skills remain up to date, and in particular your first aid and fire marshal training is in accordance with legislative guidelines.
• Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must be always displayed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
