Corps Security is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer for holiday and sickness cover at various client premises, with potential for fixed shifts. You will liaise daily with staff, clients and management, support security duties and ensure a high level of customer service while maintaining vigilance.

We value internal promotions and development; a permanent vacancy would be offered first to suitable candidates, with shifts covering days, nights and weekends.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and required to work at several of our client’s premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise.

You will be working various hours covering days, nights and weekeds.

What you will need:

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.


• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential


• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.


• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.


• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)


• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What are you going to do:

• Liaise daily with staff + the client and operational management teams


• Support the fulfilment of the contracted/business objectives, through the range of duty assignments which will involve security and support duties


• Ensure safety of customers and all staff by providing reassurance and assistance whilst presenting a high level of vigilance


• Contribute as a team member to ensure a positive customer experience for all visitors/customers


• Detect, deter, and prevent crime with an emphasis on counter terrorism


• Identify potential hostile terrorist reconnaissance and suspicious or unusual activities


• Control access to all tenants, visitors/guests and contractors who are seeking to access the building


• Provide First Aid support when required to do so


• Ensure Fire Safety protocols are adhered to and enforced


• Facilitate vehicular deliveries to and from the loading dock service areas


• Report all radio faults immediately by following chain of command


• To partake and pass a mandatory annual physical assessment - details to be discussed during interview stage
