Job summary

Securitas UK is recruiting a Relief Security Officer for Crewe. The role covers 36 hours per week with availability across days, nights and weekends to protect people and property. You’ll engage in standard security duties, incident response and customer-focused service in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Valid SIA licence required.
Physically fit for site patrolling.
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Computer literate and able to use basic software.

Responsibilities

Protect property and premises and deter unauthorised access.
Monitor fire alarms and CCTV; respond to incidents.
Conduct external and internal security patrols as directed.
Provide traffic control and manage parking restrictions.
Test security equipment and maintain logs as required.
Manage keys and perform locking/unlocking duties per procedures.
Issue visitor/contractor passes and handle lost property.
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Keep walkways clear and report hazards to supervisor.

Responsibilities

Job Description

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Protection of Property and Premises

Prevent and deter unauthorized access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV as appropriate.

Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.

Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.

Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.

Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.

Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.

Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.

Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.

Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.

Health and Safety

To provide support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.

Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times. Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards, and unsafe working practices to supervisor/manager. Report and record all accidents in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.

Ensure all walkways and emergency escape routes are always kept clear.

Report any usage of First Aid equipment and shortfalls in the contents of First Aid boxes.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

A valid SIA licence.

Physically fit for patrolling of site.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

Computer literate

Excellent customer service skills

The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.

Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
