Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Relief Retail security officer to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe shopping environment. You may hold an SIA licence or receive training; 5-year history is essential for verification.

You will patrol stores, operate CCTV, liaise with management and police, and wear Body Worn CCTV to ensure safety for customers and colleagues. Contracted hours and paid breaks are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Full 5-year checkable history required or able to provide.
• SIA Licence preferred; training may be provided in some cases.
• Relies on strong customer service and situational awareness.

Job description

Region: R3

Job title: Permanent position for a regional Relief officer covering Middlesbrough, Darlington, Durham, Stockton, when required, shifts will consist of some 23:00 finishes so driver preferred as own travel to and from site expected.

Location: Middlesbrough & Surround Area relief

Pay rate: £13.23

Hours: 9 hours with the ability to work up to 45 Hours per week when availible

Job Overview

Mitie is looking for a Relief Retail security officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.

It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided)

Vetting

It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history, failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment terminated.

Main duties

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To deter violence and public order offences
• To conduct patrols of the store
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the store management teams
• Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
• To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
