About the role
As a Relief Pharmacist you’ll provide excellent customer and patient care across a range of pharmacies. Your main areas of responsibility will be:

• Delivering the pharmacy strategy through expert care and advice
• Accountable for legal and ethical decisions in the pharmacy
• Building the pharmacy capability of store teams
• Conducting continual review through audit, observations and risk assessment to ensure customer and patient safety
• Delivering a range of professional pharmacy services

• Be registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI)
• Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise and be widely respected by stakeholders, peers, patients, customers and external local professionals

• Be collaborative with a team-centered approach
• Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services

Weekend vacancy

We are seeking a weekend relief pharmacist to support our teams across the Dorset area. As a Relief Pharmacist you will:

• Gain confidence quickly
• Experience different stores and challenges
• Receive flexible work patterns
• Learn best practice to share with other stores
• Build experience in delivering varied services
• Experience working with care homes, GP practices and other partners
• Encounter different management styles and staffing structures
• Receive paid transportation at 45 pence per mile

You will be stationed across 2–3 stores maximum, with a planning team confirming your rota at least 6 weeks in advance. You will have support from experienced ACTs, dispensers, pharmacy advisors, and strong management support. This role offers a base salary and a substantial performance-based annual bonus, plus Boots benefits including retirement savings, GPhC fees reimbursement, indemnity insurance, extensive employee discounts, and more.
