Job summary

Childbase Partnership is seeking a Relief Nursery Practitioner at River View Day Nursery in Hertford. This permanent, zero‑hours role offers ad‑hoc shifts between 07:30 and 18:30, Monday to Friday, with a hourly salary of £12.87–£14.33.

You’ll contribute to nurturing environments and support development through planned activities. Applicants with EYFS knowledge and a DfE‑approved qualification are encouraged, and the company highlights wellbeing support, career development, and benefit schemes

Qualifications

• Experience caring for babies and children aged five and under is preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and EYFS enhances practice.
• Safeguarding awareness and ability to promote well‑being.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care to children aged five and under.
• Implement activities planned by the Key Person to support learning.
• Contribute to observations for learning journeys and ensure safeguarding.
