Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Relief Security Officer (Night) for FedEx Dartford. The role involves safeguarding the site, logging incidents, and reporting to the Security Management team.

You will work 12-hour shifts, nights and days as needed, with a focus on maintaining high safety and access standards. The ideal candidate holds a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence, can obtain SC clearance, and demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate information and prioritise activity.
• Valid SIA (Door Supervisor) licence is mandatory; CCTV preferable.
• Must be able to achieve SC clearance (5-year UK residency) and have a full 5-year checkable history.
• Good understanding of security requirements and functions.
• Excellent oral and strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Log all incidents and direct to completion.
• Communicate business issues to Operations Manager or relevant departments.
• Maintain site access/egress and visitor regulation standards.
• Maintain dress, safety, and presentation standards.
• Complete timely and accurate reports on security activities.
