As and When Needed • Term Time

Overview

Providing primary, secondary and special school meals to 56 schools across the county borough, Catering Services have a variety of opportunities for you to work as a General Kitchen Assistant across their service and would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals, whilst providing a safe, clean environment to pupils and staff.
  • Lay out dining tables and chairs and, in some schools, operate a touch screen terminal — training will be provided upon start.
  • Cover at schools across the County Borough is a requirement of the role.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate; training will be provided if necessary to help you obtain this.
  • Willingness to cover at schools across the County Borough.
  • Enhanced DBS check with Childrens Barred list (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
Working hours

Working hours will be confirmed upon appointment but will be between 10.00am and 2.30pm, to support the mid -morning break and lunchtime periods, Monday to Friday, term time only.
