Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a Relief General Kitchen Assistant at Llangewydd Primary School. The role involves assisting with school meals, ensuring cleanliness and safety, and setting up dining areas.

Training will be provided for any required duties, including use of touch screen terminals. The position is term-time, with hours from 10:00 to 14:30, Monday to Friday, across schools in the county borough.

Qualifications

• Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate required; training will be provided to obtain if necessary.
• Cover at schools across the County Borough as part of the role.
• DBS check (Enhanced with Children's Barred list) is a requirement.

Relief General Kitchen Assistant - Llangewydd Primary School

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Providing primary, secondary and special school meals to 56 schools across the county borough, Catering Services have a variety of opportunities for you to work as a General Kitchen Assistant across their service and would like to hear from you.

The role includes assisting in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals, whilst providing a safe, clean environment to pupils and staff. You will be required to lay out dining tables and chairs and, in some schools, operate a touch screen terminal - training will be provided upon start.

Cover at schools across the County Borough is a requirement of the role as well as having a Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate; training will be provided if necessary to help you obtain this.

Working hours will be confirmed upon appointment but will be between the hours of 10.00am and 2.30pm, to support the mid - morning break and lunchtime periods, Monday to Friday, term time only.
