Relief General Kitchen Assistant - Heronsbridge School

Job description – As and When Needed. Term Time.

Providing primary, secondary and special school meals to 56 schools across the county borough, Catering Services have a variety of opportunities for you to work as a General Kitchen Assistant across their service and would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • The role includes assisting in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals, whilst providing a safe, clean environment to pupils and staff.
  • You will be required to lay out dining tables and chairs and, in some schools, operate a touch screen terminal – training will be provided upon start.
Qualifications & Training
  • Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate (training provided if necessary to help you obtain this).
Employment Details
  • Cover at schools across the County Borough is a requirement of the role.
  • Working hours will be confirmed upon appointment but will be between the hours of 10.00am and 2.30pm, to support the mid-morning break and lunchtime periods, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Compliance & Safeguarding
  • Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
  • An Enhanced DBS with Barred List checks is a requirement for this post.
