Job summary

A local educational services provider is seeking a Relief General Kitchen Assistant for Brackla Primary School. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation and service of school meals, ensuring a clean environment, and supporting dining operations. Term Time

Providing primary, secondary and special school meals to 56 schools across the county borough, Catering Services have a variety of opportunities for you to work as a General Kitchen Assistant across their service and would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, presentation and service of school meals.
  • Provide a safe, clean environment to pupils and staff.
  • Lay out dining tables and chairs.
  • Operate a touch screen terminal (some schools) – training will be provided.
  • Cover at schools across the County Borough.
Qualifications
  • Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate (training to obtain if necessary).
  • Enhanced with Children’s Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).

Working hours will be confirmed upon appointment but will be between the hours of 10.00am and 2.30pm, to support the mid‑morning break and lunchtime periods, Monday to Friday, term time only.
