Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Relief Caretaker for Burton & Swadlincote on a 0 hour contract to cover sites as needed. You will oversee caretaking tasks, maintenance, and cleaning to ensure high standards and safety.

The role requires strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to work independently when needed. The candidate will be a team player with good communication, able to prioritise tasks, and familiar with health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Great customer service and communication skills with experience in similar settings (Caretaking, Maintenance, Trades, Handy-person).
• Experience in Legionella and Fire Alarm systems is desirable but not essential.
• A team player providing excellent service across the Vertas Group.
• Ability to make the best decisions with Vertas in mind.
• Listening and responding to colleagues, customers and suppliers to achieve the best outcome.
• Ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Good attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance standards are met.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following health.
