About the role

As a Relief Care & Support Assistant you will provide the highest quality of individual care to our residents, enabling them to live later life well. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans. Duties will be varied and include supporting and encouraging our residents to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. You will help them to book appointments, arrange transport and where necessary escort them on visits and assist with their shopping. Every day will be diverse, and you'll have the opportunity to use your people skills to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care and support to older adults with additional needs, promoting active and independent lifestyles on a relief basis. Support residents in their daily activities, assist with appointments, transport, escorting and shopping, provide housekeeping and domestic help, and encourage participation in recreational activities to enhance wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience of working in a care or support environment.
  • Passion for making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoyment of working as part of a team in a busy setting.
  • Driven to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to work in the Health and Social Care sector; a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification is preferred but consideration will be given to candidates with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: £13.26 per hour, plus up to an additional £1.30 for working evenings and weekends. Hours will be discussed with the development manager on an "as and when" basis when required.
