Job description

Let's cut to the chase. This isn't just another “maintenance engineer wanted” gig. There's been a massive shake-up in the engineering department. A proper restructure. The kind that actually means something. The leadership's serious about turning things around – investing in people, tools, and processes – and they're now looking to strengthen the reliability and continuous improvement team to make it happen.

What's in it for you
  • Healthy annual bonus (yes, a real one)
  • 28 days holiday + bank holidays – want more? You can buy it.
  • 4% employer pension contribution
  • Life assurance
  • Online GP for you and your family
  • Access to a flexible benefits platform (healthcare, dental, car scheme, financial services – the works)
The role

You’ll be the go-to person for driving Engineering Excellence – which, in plain English, means making sure the kit runs better, longer, and smarter.

You’ll be coaching teams, building capability, and finding smarter ways to stop breakdowns before they even think about happening. Using CMMS data, root cause analysis, and a fair bit of curiosity, you’ll help make “unplanned downtime” a rare phrase around here.

You’ll have a mix of mechanical and electrical know-how, a knack for problem-solving, and the confidence to challenge the old way of doing things (because some of those ways need challenging).

A bit about you
  • A solid Multiskilled background
  • Experience in engineering leadership and continuous improvement
  • The ability to coach, influence and get people onside
  • A restless curiosity – the kind that keeps asking “why?” until things get better

You’ll thrive if you’re the type who likes results over rhetoric, progress over politics, and teamwork over titles.

Why now?

Because this is the point where things start to move in the right direction. The structure’s in place, the support’s there, and the next few hires – including you – will shape what the department becomes.

If that sounds like a challenge worth taking, then let’s talk.
