Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Reinsurance Technician (XOL/Pro Rata) in Witham. The role is hybrid with a minimum of three days in the office and focuses on transactional processing to secure reinsurance recoveries through accurate system entry.

Experience in Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims is valued, along with strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn the technical account structure. Prior Broker experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Some demonstrable Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, e.g. handling cash loss or large loss.
• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structures.
• Proven ability to manage workloads and meet expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims.
• Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds.
• Manage all XOL post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps.
• Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.
• Participate in training sessions and provide input within the team for all aspects of reinsurance service processing.

Reinsurance Technician (XOL/Pro Rata)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Client Services Support team at Marsh RE (formerly Guy Carpenter). This role will be based in Witham. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Reinsurance Technician (XOL/Pro Rata), you will support our client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry.

Although Reinsurance experience would be advantageous, we are considering candidates with proven Insurance premium/claims or underwriting backgrounds who can demonstrate a desire to embark on a career in Reinsurance.

Part time may also be considered for this role.

We will count on you to:

What you need to have:

• Some demonstrable Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, ie; handling cash loss/large loss and a desire to move into the Reinsurance sector.




• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.




• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.




• Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

• Reinsurance Claims experience




• Experience within Excess of Loss (XOL) and/or Pro Rata (QS)




• Experience of working in a technical capacity for a Broker




• Experience of using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository)




• Knowledge of CLASS system is useful for review of London market queries
