Job summary

Beazley is seeking a Ceded Reinsurance Technician to support the Technical and Reporting Teams within the Ceded Reinsurance Operations function in London.

You will gain exposure to varied aspects of the function and perform administration tasks under the guidance of team leads.

• Work with the Ceded Re Ops Manager and carry out administration tasks.

• Collaborate with the reinsurance technical team to hit KPI targets.
• Help develop and improve reinsurance administration procedures and systems.
• Undertake other duties as requested by the Reinsurance Operations Lead.

Job Title: Ceded Reinsurance Technician

Division: Ceded Reinsurance

Reports To: As per Beazley’s organisation chart

Key Relationships: Ceded Reinsurance team, internal and external Stakeholders (including but not limited to Underwriting assistants, Claims Managers, Operations Managers in Underwriting teams and Reinsurance Brokers).

Job Summary: To provide support across the Technical and Reporting Teams within the Ceded Reinsurance Operations (“Ceded Re Ops”) Function thus gaining experience and a high-level understanding of the varied aspects that are part of the of the Function.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Ceded Re Ops Manager of each Team and carry out the administration tasks assigned by them.
• Play a role in the reinsurance team’s month end process, adhering to a strict month end timetable.
• Work in conjunction with the Ceded Re Ops Managers to meet or exceed key performance indicators in relation to the administration of reinsurance.
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the reinsurance technical team to meet and/or exceed key performance indicator performance targets for all Group reinsurance.
• Be actively involved in the on-going development of the Company’s reinsurance administration procedures and systems.
• Undertake any reasonable duties as may be requested by the Reinsurance Operations Lead in the provision of the service.

General

The Ceded Reinsurance function embraces Beazley’s agile working principles. While we value flexibility, this role requires a minimum of two days per week in our London office to foster collaboration and engagement. Beyond that, you’ll have the freedom to balance your remaining days between office and remote work in a way that suits you.
