Rehabilitation Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the dynamic Fareham and Gosport Community Therapy Team. You will work across both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy to deliver high quality care and rehabilitation to patients with a range of functional and rehabilitative needs in line with holistic community practice.

The post holder will be responsible for their own caseload, working within a scope of practice under the direction/supervision of a registered practitioner, therefore being able to demonstrate experience of working in a therapy role is required.

You will need to be a motivated individual, who is good at working within a busy team environment. Someone who has excellent organisation and communication skills, as well as demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable, working in a pressurised environment. The successful applicant will need to have proficient IT skills.

Access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving licence is essential.

There are CPD opportunities that support development of clinical skills as well as structured supervision, peer support groups and appraisals.

The service currently runs a Monday to Friday service, however there may be requirement for 7 day cover in future.

Main duties of the job

The Rehabilitation Practitioner will work as an active member of a community-based team and will provide high quality, efficient and effective service to patients.

The post holder will assume responsibility for delegated aspects of healthcare delivery, working within a scope of practice under the direction / supervision of a registered practitioner. They will work within relevant legal and ethical frameworks and in accordance with organisational protocols and policies.

The Rehabilitation Practitioner will be proficient, knowledgeable and competent. Educated to Foundation Degree level, or equivalent, they will continue to develop in their role through the acquisition of further skills, knowledge and competences, to be determined by the needs of patients, the service and the team.
