A healthcare organization in Highweek is seeking a part-time Rehabilitation Support Worker. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Newton Abbot Community Hospital therapy team as a part time band 3 Rehabilitation Support Worker. This is a fixed term position for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave.
This post offers the opportunity to support the delivery of rehabilitation to patients under the direction of qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists on our inpatient medical wards in a community hospital setting. Our patients require ongoing therapeutic intervention to support their discharge home or to an alternate location. Our patients are predominately older, frail patients who require a supportive and encouraging approach to allow them to achieve what is important to them.
You will work alongside other members of the multi-disciplinary team including nurses and GP's. We currently provide a therapy service on a Saturday, and you will be required to work approximately one Saturday in five.
This post offers 26 hours per week.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
