Role Overview

We are recruiting experienced and new to care Rehabilitation Assistants in the Forest of Dean. As a Health Care Support Worker you will work closely with other health care professionals, delivering essential clinical and personal care. You will ensure that our service user needs are met and assist the team in maintaining high standards of care delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Participate and assist in the delivery of care and services to patients and service users as part of a Mental Health and Social Care Health Service.
  • Assist with daily living activities, medication administration, personal hygiene and use of equipment.
  • Support patients in carrying out therapy, rehabilitation and exercise programmes.
  • Follow the guidance set out in the Code of Conduct for Health Care Assistants and Health Care Support Workers to provide safe and compassionate care.
  • Record care activity and support notes accurately and keep the care plan up to date.
Qualifications
  • Any qualification or training that is relevant to a care role (e.g. Level 2, Level 3).
  • Experience in a care role is desirable but new to care applicants will be offered a structured development plan, including achievement of the Care Certificate.
  • Progression from pay band 2 to pay band 3 on completion of the Care Certificate.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Working Hours & Shift Patterns

Our service runs 24/7 and all Rehabilitation Assistant roles offer core hours of 07.00-22.00. The following shift is currently highly sought after for this locality:

  • PM – 17:00 – 22:00 (4 on 4 off)

Vehicle & Driving Licence Requirement

This role is locality based and involves visiting people. All applicants must hold a valid driving licence for the UK and have access to a vehicle that they can use for work purposes.
