Job summary

Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Rehabilitation Assistant on a 1.0 WTE fixed-term contract ending 31.03.27. The role supports the MSRS, delivering virtual and in-person sessions and assisting with a range of interventions for patients with complex rehabilitation needs.

You will work with an MDT including OT, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Clinical Assessors, delivering CBT/bio-psychosocial group and 1:1 therapies, and using digital platforms to monitor progress.

• Recent experience of working in a health care setting.
• Experience of working with people with a range of long-term health conditions.
• Experience of supporting therapeutic interventions in group and 1:1 formats.
• Experience of working in an MDT / agile team.
• Extensive experience in IT applications including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office and SystmOne, with ability to support remote interventions.
• Good communication skills including observation, listening and empathy and ability to adapt these to a virtual working platform.
• Skills to empower people to realise and maintain their potential in relation to health and well being.
• Ability to work well within a predominantly virtual team.

1.0 WTE FTC, (ending 31.03.27) Senior Rehabilitation Assistant (Full-time, Flexible working) We are excited we have the opportunity for a motivated and flexible Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Bradford District and Craven Multi- System Rehabilitation Service (MSRS) on a fixed-term basis until 31.03.27. We have built up a large amount of expertise in supporting people with complex rehabilitation needs including Fatigue, Breathing Pattern Disorders, Anxiety/Stress, alongside Vocational Rehabilitation. We support home, virtual and out-patient clinics due to the large geographical are with a personalised approach to patient care. Patient contact varies from telephone, video, or face to face, individual and / or group sessions. There are opportunities to gain experience and further develop this innovative, integrated service, which makes extensive use of rapidly evolving technology to deliver and evaluate patient care. Working as part of a large MDT including OT, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Clinical Assessors enables us to think innovatively about how we meet the complex needs of our clients., As a team we currently provide a range of group-based interventions using a CBT/bio psychosocial model style approach in the following areas: sleep, stress management, brain fog / cognition, fatigue management, vocational rehabilitation groups, breathing pattern disorder, functioning around breathing, easing with movement, as well as weekly drop-in sessions for mindfulness and mindful movement. The post-holder will support the delivery of patient care by assisting with a range of interventions, including virtual and online sessions, face-to-face assessment clinics, one-to-one follow-up appointments, and group-based activities. They will also undertake administrative duties as required and make effective use of digital systems, AI, and other technological platforms to support the smooth running of the service and contribute to high standards of patient care.
