THE ROLE:

A leading regulatory team is seeking experienced Advocates to join its expanding practice, supporting an increasing volume of work and new client wins. The team acts for professional regulators and regulated professionals across law, health and social care, accountancy and education. Advocates appear before regulatory tribunals and courts in England and Wales, including the High Court, with a particular focus on healthcare fitness to practise trials. While experience in healthcare or before the Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal is desirable, extensive trial advocacy in professional regulatory matters is essential. The team comprises Solicitors, Barristers, CILEX Lawyers, Paralegals and Trainees, supported by an experienced administrative team.

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with advocacy experience with at least one year of experience handling contested and uncontested hearings in a fitness to practise context. You will be confident managing your own matters, drafting and reviewing hearing documents, advising on the progression of investigations and providing wider regulatory guidance. Strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and a collegiate, team‑oriented approach are essential, along with a commitment to continuous professional development and excellent client care.
