Stoke on Trent City Council Inhouse legal team provides a full range of legal services to the Authority. The current vacancy is within the Regulatory team and is for a Litigation and Regulatory solicitor covering a broad range of activities including: planning, licensing, regulatory, housing and general criminal and civil litigation. The team is friendly, supportive and with a strong Can do attitude. We are looking for a positive and highly motivated person who is confident, versatile and innovative. Advocacy is part of this role, and we are looking for a strong communicator who also possesses excellent analytical and drafting skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who ideally has a good understanding of regulatory law, although we would be willing to train the right applicant.

The post offers an attractive holiday entitlement of 28 days per year plus Bank Holidays which rises to 33 Days per year plus Bank Holidays after 5 years of service. Flexible and Hybrid working is permitted. The successful applicant will also be enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme.
