Overview

Wirral Council is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Officer (Alcohol) to join the Trading Standards Service on a fixed term contract of 18 months and part-time hours (18 hours).

Role

About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to work within the Trading Standards Service. Protecting our communities is at the core of Wirral Council and as a Trading Standards Regulatory Compliance Officer you will contribute to the effective delivery of the statutory service using a wide range of consumer protection legislation ensuring goods and services sold within the Borough are safe and legal.

About the candidate

The right candidate will assist in the delivery of the service by working with colleagues in Public Health to deliver a specialist project over an 18-month period linked to tackling illicit and illegal alcohol products in the Borough, age restricted sales and business and consumer education programme.
