Qualifications

About the role

We are currently recruiting a Regulatory Compliance Lead, to join our SEMD (Security Emergency Measure Direction) team. This role will enable the business to gain legislative compliance to SEMD outcomes through effective, timely, professional and honest response to legal instruments and ad‑hoc reporting requirements to the DWI, Ofwat and other regulators. Across our SEMD portfolio, the role will also enable effective assurance of regulatory compliance to security provisions in place across the Organisation.

Note: this role will be subject to BPSS screening and National Security Vetting to SC (Security Clearance) level.

What you will be doing as a Regulatory Compliance Lead
  • Deliver effective, robust regulatory reports in line with legislative requirements and timelines associated with externally led ad‑hoc reporting mechanisms and pre‑agreed enforcement milestones.
  • Work collaboratively across various business functions to gather business and financial data to enable compilation of timely, effective and insightful external regulatory response requirements for our Regulators.
  • Effectively assure compliance of security measures across the business through provision of agreed assurance strategies to measure compliance success and intervention for improvement, where required following review.
  • Utilise milestone trackers and dashboards to effectively and efficiently maintain records for management of required external reporting associated with successful delivery of the SEMD deliverables across multiple legal instruments.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the SEMD team to enable efficient progress across the programme, both regarding project deliverables led by the SEMD team and in support of deliverables to be met by other Thames Water teams.
Location & Working Hours

Location – Your base location will be Kemble Court, Reading.

Working Hours – Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.

What you should bring to the role
  • Experience of writing comprehensive reports to Executive level and beyond, inclusive of prior experience writing reports of an external facing and regulatory nature.
  • Prior knowledge of SEMD (Security & Emergency Measures Direction) is desirable for this role – however not essential.
  • Experience in assurance of regulatory measures.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills.
