Regulatory (Commercial) Senior / Principal Associate

Are you a regulatory solicitor looking to join a team handling cutting‑edge work?

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a Senior or Principal Associate to join its expanding Commercial Regulatory team. This is a rare opportunity to specialise in regulatory work across digital, product regulation, advertising, labelling, food and beverage, consumer protection and wider trading law.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a growing national practice, with a strong pipeline of complex, advisory‑led work and the chance to build your own profile in a supportive, collaborative and forward‑thinking environment.

You will advise an impressive roster of household‑name clients, including fast‑growth technology companies and leading players in the food and beverage sector. The role offers a high level of autonomy and the ability to develop genuine sector expertise while contributing to a growing regulatory offering.

Responsibilities
  • Advising on a broad range of UK and international regulatory matters, including food, consumer protection, digital, e‑commerce, advertising and anti‑discrimination law.
  • Supporting clients launching new products or entering new markets, delivering clear, risk‑based and pragmatic guidance.
  • Handling regulatory investigations, ASA complaints and enforcement matters.
  • Coordinating multi‑jurisdictional advice with international counsel.
  • Analysing complex regulatory frameworks and applying them to innovative products and business models.
About You
  • 4+ years' PQE in regulatory, commercial or related fields gained in a large regional, national or international firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of regulatory law and a genuine interest in sectors such as food and beverage, education and/or technology.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills and the drive to develop your own practice.
  • Experience supervising junior lawyers or supporting team development would be an advantage but isn't essential.
Why Apply?
  • Exceptional Career Progression with this growing team offering genuine scope for promotion and practice development.
  • High‑quality and varied work with major national and international clients.
  • Working with a widely recognised national commercial and regulatory practice.
  • Very competitive salary and benefits.

If you're a regulatory solicitor seeking a career‑enhancing opportunity within a leading national practice, we'd love to hear from you.
