Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is offering a one-year Regulatory PhD Fellowship in its International Regulatory Affairs Team at the corporate headquarters in London, UK. Fellows will support regulatory activities for development programs and marketed products and contribute to the development of regulatory strategies within the portfolio.

The role is hybrid-eligible or on-site, with flexibility for remote work up to two days per week.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree completed in a scientific field.
• Ability to assess complex scientific information.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
• Availability to start summer/autumn 2027 at HQ in Paddington, London.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development and implementation of regulatory strategy as a member of the International Regulatory Affairs Team.
• Develops proficiency in regulatory skills.
• Supports regulatory strategy under guidance of the International Regulatory Lead.
• Responsible for regulatory communications with local health authorities; under supervision.
• Identifies regulatory requirements for development and approval pathways for assigned region.
• Manages process for preparation, submission, and approval of regulatory applications under supervision.
• Provides technical regulatory input for key product development or registration documents.
• Works to ensure compliance of regulatory submissions with current regulations and guidance.
• Reviews regulatory intelligence and guidance information to continuously support regulatory strategy.
