A local public service organization is seeking a Registration Assistant to support our team in Warwick on a zero-hour contract. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service during holiday and sickness cover. Ideal candidates have strong administrative experience and communication skills, are flexible and resilient, and can work as part of a team. Warwickshire Registration Service is at the heart of life’s most meaningful moments. We provide a vital statutory service, registering births, deaths, and stillbirths across Warwickshire, ensuring every life event is recorded with care and accuracy. Our team also handles legal notices of marriage and civil partnership for Warwickshire residents and maintains historical records, producing copy certificates on application.
We proudly deliver around 2,800 marriage and civil partnership ceremonies every year—from our own beautiful registration office venues to more than 80 licensed venues approved by the Registration Service. We also deliver citizenship ceremonies and complete the registration of religious marriages that have taken place throughout the county.

We’re looking for a Registration Assistant to join our team on a zero-hour basis, providing cover at our office in Warwick.
You’ll help us deliver an exceptional service during planned holiday cover and, occasionally, at short notice for sickness. The role is suited to people who are available Monday to Friday and can work flexibly. We cannot guarantee any hours and you’ll be paid a month in arrears for the time you work, with an enhanced hourly rate that includes holiday pay.
The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is required: you must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
