Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Worthing Vets for Pets for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team.

The practice is locally run by Eimear and Mariana (Practice Owners and veterinary surgeons), alongside a fantastic team of 4 vets, 6 qualified nurses, and a highly experienced reception team. This strong and supportive structure provides an excellent environment for the right candidate to thrive.

Eimear, Mariana, and the wider team are passionate about supporting colleagues in reaching their full potential and achieving their career goals. Continued Professional Development (CPD) and individual interests are actively encouraged, offering genuine opportunities for growth and development. The practice also benefits from visiting specialists, including a cardiologist, further enhancing the level of care provided.

As part of the wider Vets for Pets network, the team benefits from additional support while maintaining the flexibility to deliver personalised patient care. Every team member is encouraged to have a voice in how care is delivered, creating a positive and inclusive "proud to be part of the team" culture.

Work-life balance is a key priority for the team, with a strong emphasis on ensuring colleagues have time to enjoy everything the local area has to offer, including the South Downs and the nearby coastline. The practice is not open on Sundays or bank holidays allowing ample down time.

In this role, you will be able to utilise your nursing skills to their full potential. Responsibilities will include admitting patients, monitoring anaesthesia, supporting patient recovery, and carrying out discharges. This is a part-time role, working up to 2.5 days per week (although this may be flexible for the right candidate), and 1 in 6 Saturdays.
